Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Keith Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Masters!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masters thows a body shot but no joy.
Masters keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Martin.
Martin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Martin ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Martin.


It looks like Chris Masters has been cut.
Masters shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Martin counters with a left and a right that stings Masters.
Martin lands with a straight right. Masters didn't see that one coming.

Masters dives in and scores a takedown into Martin's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martin has Masters pulled in close to control his posture.
Masters postures up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Masters trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Masters wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.
Masters prevents Martin from getting back to his feet.
Masters trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Martin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Masters fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Masters shoots in for a double leg but Martin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Keith Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Masters.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Masters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Masters tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Masters somewhat.
Masters dives in for a single leg takedown but Martin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
I was talking to Martin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Masters is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Martin pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Martin breaks the clinch.
Keith Martin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Martin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Masters has time to react.
Martin stuffs the takedown.
Masters steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Martin.
Martin throws a hook but Masters blocks it.
Martin misses with a double jab.
Martin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Masters in his tracks.
Martin throws a shot to the body.
Masters uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Martin.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Masters keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Martin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Masters on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Martin throws a nice outside leg kick.
Keith Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Masters.
The crowd cheers as Martin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Masters doesn't seem phased though.
Masters throws a wild body kick that Martin sees coming a mile off.
The fighters circling - Martin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Martin lands a jab-cross combination.
Martin misses with a straight right.
Martin lands a nice looking body shot.
Martin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Masters on the side of the head.
A slow jab from Martin misses its intended target.
Masters looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martin is fending him off so far but Masters persists. Nope, Martin circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice shot lands for Martin.
Martin's corner calls for a 1-2. Martin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Martin is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Martin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Masters dives in and grabs Martin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Martin pushes down on Masters's head and hops out.
A left lands for Martin.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Martin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Masters.
Masters slips under a jab from Martin.
Martin cracks Masters with an open hand slap.
Martin misses with a series of wild punches.
Martin scores with a nice head shot.
A big left from Martin misses.
Martin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Masters.
Martin throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Masters crashing down! Masters tries to stagger back to his feet but Martin just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Masters asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Keith Martin!
A relieved looking Keith Martin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
