Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Estrada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt Cannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felipe Estrada! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colt Cannon! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cannon is looking to clinch but Estrada is avoiding it.
Estrada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cannon but Cannon pushes him off and we're back to square one. Estrada on the wrong end of a nice hook. Cannon takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Cannon throws a series of punches but Estrada avoids them all with ease. Cannon misses with a series of wild punches.
Cannon has closed the distance and engaged Estrada in a clinch.

Cannon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Estrada. Cannon looks to land a combination but Estrada avoids it well. Cannon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Felipe Estrada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cannon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's one minute gone in the round. Estrada decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Estrada is breathing heavily. Estrada wants to work for an arm triangle but Cannon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cannon tries to roll over but Estrada keeps him under control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cannon is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cannon tries to kick Estrada off but Estrada keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Estrada seems to be looking for submissions.
Cannon tries to get to full guard but Estrada has control of the leg. Estrada is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Estrada has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felipe Estrada. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cannon gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cannon is trying to drag Estrada to the mat but Estrada just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Cannon cracks Estrada with a nice body shot. Cannon breaks from the clinch.

Cannon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Estrada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Estrada drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Estrada jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Cannon kicks Estrada off and gets to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Estrada looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cannon scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Cannon throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Estrada. Cannon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Estrada's waist but Estrada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cannon off to one side. Estrada lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Cannon closes the distance and clinches. Estrada is trying to break free. Cannon breaks the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A short body shot lands from Cannon as the two fighters clinch.

Colt Cannon dominated that round. The cut man is working on Felipe Estrada's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jab, jab by Estrada - just one landing. A jab from Estrada misses. Estrada shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cannon pinned against the cage. Cannon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cannon tries to bum rush Estrada with a series of wild strikes but Estrada uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cannon misses with a two punch combination.
Cannon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Estrada is looking to regain half guard here but Cannon keeps moving and retains side control. Estrada wants to control but Cannon postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Estrada is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cannon off and has taken his back! Cannon has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's one minute gone in the round. Estrada is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Cannon has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Estrada.
Estrada doesn't have the hooks in and Cannon manages to turn into his guard.
Cannon tries to stand but Estrada is controlling from the bottom. Cannon won't allow Estrada to sweep him here. Estrada will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Cannon stands and throws Estrada's legs to the side, diving into side control. Estrada parries the strikes from Cannon easily there. Cannon is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Estrada to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Estrada manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cannon's best efforts. Estrada tries to get to full guard but Cannon has control of the leg. Estrada works his way to full guard. Good work. Estrada working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cannon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Estrada is tightening it up a little... Cannon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cannon reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cannon taps out! nice BJJ there by Estrada!
