Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KT Turnstile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). KT Turnstile is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Stewart !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, KT Turnstile!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Stewart .
Turnstile is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Stewart off and has taken his back!
Stewart controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Stewart manages to reverse the position and now he's in Turnstile's guard. Nice work there by Stewart .
Turnstile looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Turnstile can't keep his opponent in guard - Stewart advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Turnstile is looking for a sweep. Stewart is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Turnstile wants to control but Stewart is keeping busy.
Turnstile is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Stewart is staying active.
Stewart seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Turnstile regains full guard. Nicely done.

Stewart thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stewart decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Turnstile throws a leg kick which misses Stewart 's front leg but catches the back leg as Stewart tries to avoid it.

Turnstile shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Turnstile was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stewart manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turnstile is trying to control but can't.
Stewart looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Martin Stewart will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Turnstile throws a lazy right hand but Stewart sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Stewart shoots in and bounces Turnstile off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Stewart wanted to stand there but Turnstile had control of the position.
Turnstile is looking to sweep but instead, Stewart has passed into half guard.
Turnstile keeping hold of Stewart 's head, controlling as best he can.
Turnstile is trying to get back to full guard.
Martin Stewart overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Stewart is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Turnstile doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stewart .

Stewart seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Martin Stewart .
Stewart jabs Turnstile right on the nose. Turnstile blinks but takes it well.
Turnstile chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Stewart lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stewart .
Turnstile looks to land a right hand but Stewart moved out of range.
Turnstile takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stewart throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Turnstile lands a head shot.
Turnstile darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Turnstile swings widly with a right hand

and Stewart counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Turnstile looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Stewart has picked Turnstile up and slammed him! Turnstile can't keep hold of the triangle and Stewart manages to pass to side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Stewart has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Turnstile!

Turnstile is breathing heavily.
Stewart tries to control but Turnstile wriggling away.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Stewart not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Turnstile turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

and Stewart counters with a left and a right that stings Turnstile.

Stewart is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stewart tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Stewart has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turnstile is squirming around, avoiding Stewart 's attempts to control the action.
Turnstile is desperately trying to improve his position but Stewart has a good base and remains in mount.

Martin Stewart showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Stewart has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Martin Stewart spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
