Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teila Tuli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anan Kofan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anan Kofan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Teila Tuli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anan Kofan! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kofan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tuli doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Tuli dives in and grabs Kofan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kofan pushes down on Tuli's head and hops out. Tuli has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kofan swings wildly with an uppercut but Tuli uses good head movement to avoid it. Tuli has Kofan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kofan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kofan misses with a punch to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Tuli. Kofan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Tuli backwards. Tuli's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Tuli breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kofan connects with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kofan tries to clinch and Tuli counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Tuli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tuli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kofan's guard. Tuli seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tuli tries to stand but Kofan is controlling from the bottom. Tuli's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kofan wants to stand up but Tuli is controlling him. Tuli might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tuli trying to control but Kofan is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Teila Tuli. Kofan works over Tuli's head and body with a nice combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Some wild striking there from Kofan.
Tuli fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kofan sprawls well initially but Tuli persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tuli working Kofan over with strikes. Tuli stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kofan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tuli scores with a couple of nice shots. Tuli takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tuli seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Kofan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tuli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We're going to have a standup here because Teila Tuli wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Kofan swats away the attempt to clinch by Tuli. Tuli avoids a punch combination nicely.

Tuli is looking to clinch. Tuli shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kofan but Kofan pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teila Tuli. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tuli shoots in and gets a takedown into Kofan's guard. Kofan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kofan looks winded! Tuli trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kofan's guard. Tuli stands and throws Kofan's legs to the side, diving into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tuli wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kofan, who protects the arm well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tuli tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tuli has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Teila Tuli dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Tuli closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kofan to the mat! Kofan manages to get full guard. Kofan keeping moving, preventing Tuli from controlling successfully. Kofan is looking to stand up but Tuli isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tuli wants to stand but Kofan has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Tuli is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Teila Tuli wasn't doing enough on the ground. Tuli takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Tuli clinches up against the cage. Tuli managing to block the knees to the body from Kofan.
Tuli has picked Kofan up - he's going for a ride! Tuli dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. We've been informed that Kofan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Tuli frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Tuli looking to control and managing it successfully. Tuli landing shots from mount. Teila Tuli overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kofan is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tuli tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tuli is in the full mount, landing strikes. Tuli controlling the position easily from mount. Tuli pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kofan wants to try and get back to his feet. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Tuli controlling from mount. Tuli lands a heavy elbow. Tuli get's back to his feet. Tuli looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tuli is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kofan has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kofan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Tuli scores with a couple of nice shots. Tuli decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Kofan leaves Tuli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Tuli misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kofan stuffs the takedown attempt from Tuli. Tuli gets slowly back to his feet. Tuli misses with a low kick. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tuli fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kofan to the ground. Tuli is now in Kofan's guard. Tuli has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kofan is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Teila Tuli dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Kofan throws a series of punches but Tuli avoids them all with ease. Tuli lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kofan circles away quickly and effectively. Kofan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Tuli misses with a head kick.
Tuli shoots in for a double leg but Kofan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kofan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tuli paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kofan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tuli backs up against the cage.
Tuli misses with a hook to the body
and Kofan counters with a left and a right that stings Tuli. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tuli shoots in but no luck this time. Anan Kofan seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kofan lands with a right hand. Kofan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tuli stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kofan scores with a jab to the jaw. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kofan tries to clinch but Tuli moves away so Tuli counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kofan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Tuli trying to control the position from guard on top but Kofan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kofan wants to get back to his feet but Tuli is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Tuli slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Teila Tuli has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kofan throws a nice looking combination but Tuli bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tuli fails with an attempt to clinch.
Anan Kofan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tuli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teila Tuli. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tuli manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kofan on his heels. He'll look to pass Kofan's guard now, I'm sure. Tuli trying to control but Kofan is working from the bottom. Kofan wants to stand and escape but Tuli is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tuli content to stall in guard here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kofan is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tuli dives into side control.
Kofan is looking to get back to his feet here but Tuli is keeping cool and he's managed to take Kofan's back. Tuli has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kofan's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kofan won't enjoy being in this position. Tuli looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Kofan is tapping - it's over boys! Tuli picks up the submission victory!
