The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Barrington throws a head kick that misses.
Newton jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Barrington lands a head kick that stumbles Newton and the fighters go to the mat.
Newton is rocked!
Newton keeping full guard, as Barrington tries to pass.
Oh Newton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Barrington controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Newton had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Barrington is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Newton Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Barrington's back instead.
Newton seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Newton is persistently looking for the submission but Barrington is defending it well.
Newton is not going to allow Barrington to sit and survive in this position.

Newton doesn't have the hooks in and Barrington manages to turn into his guard.
Newton utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Barrington is posturing up here but Newton has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Barrington tries to roll out but it's too tight and Barrington has to tap! Slick submission there by Newton!
