Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giordano Bruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Nicklaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruno kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Preliator. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bruno misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Bruno works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bruno walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Nicklaus checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

It looks like Giordano Bruno has been cut.

Nicklaus misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nicklaus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nicklaus working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Nicklaus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bruno has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nicklaus has managed to get both his arms back between Bruno's legs - danger averted.

Bruno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nicklaus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nicklaus closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Bruno! Nicklaus dives in looking to finish! Bruno is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
