Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oswaldo Delacruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Shooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Shooter is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Oswaldo Delacruz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Shooter! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.

Shooter gets a clinch. Shooter displaying some good clinch control by pressing Delacruz up against the cage. Delacruz tries to score a body lock takedown but Shooter shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Delacruz jumps guard.
Shooter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Delacruz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Delacruz tries to stand but can't do so whilst Shooter controls his leg. Delacruz prevents Shooter from improving his position.
Shooter kicks off Delacruz and gets to his feet.
Delacruz rushes Shooter and presses him up against the cage. Delacruz wants to break the clinch but can't.

Shooter gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Delacruz regains guard.
Shooter looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Shooter throwing strikes from guard but Delacruz blocks nicely. Delacruz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shooter! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Delacruz with a couple of short strikes.

Delacruz working for a guillotine from mount but Shooter is in no mood to give up. Delacruz looking to control but Shooter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Shooter is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Shooter really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Delacruz is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Shooter has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Delacruz looking to finish with strikes here!
Shooter tries to reverse the position but Delacruz maintains control. Delacruz punching from mount but Shooter doing a good job of avoiding damage. Delacruz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Delacruz scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Shooter?
Delacruz avoids the attempt from Shooter to control.

Delacruz has control of Shooter's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Shooter regains control of the situation pretty easily.
A nice elbow there by Delacruz. Delacruz thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Delacruz working for a guillotine from mount but Shooter is in no mood to give up. Shooter tries to lock up and control but Delacruz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Delacruz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Delacruz lands a big shot there that rocks Shooter but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Shooter can't escape the position.
Shooter tries to lock up and control but Delacruz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Shooter looks winded!

Shooter keeps trying to improve his position. Shooter tries to hold on but Delacruz pushes him away. Delacruz controlling his opponent. Delacruz scoring with strikes but Shooter is staying in there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Delacruz throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Delacruz wants to control the pace but Shooter is squirming around nicely.
Delacruz is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Shooter has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Delacruz postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Shooter looks a forlorn figure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shooter is looking to get to half guard. Shooter holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Delacruz tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oswaldo Delacruz dominated that round. That's time! Delacruz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shooter gets a trip takedown into half guard. Delacruz flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Delacruz is trying to get back to full guard. Shooter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Delacruz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Well, if Shooter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Delacruz gets back to full guard.

Shooter won't allow Delacruz to sweep him here. Shooter trying to control but Delacruz is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Delacruz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shooter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Shooter wants to control from the top but Delacruz keeps moving. Shooter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Delacruz is keeping the position for now. Delacruz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Shooter!

Shooter holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Shooter is trying to get back to full guard. Delacruz tries to stand and escape but Shooter is controlling the position.
Delacruz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shooter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Delacruz. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Delacruz tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Shooter.

Shooter tries to roll over but Delacruz keeps him under control. Shooter wants to control but Delacruz is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Shooter moves into the clinch successfully.
Shooter is pushing Delacruz up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Shooter gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shooter content to stall in guard here. Delacruz trying to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Shooter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Jake Shooter has got the better of the ground game so far. Delacruz is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Shooter tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Delacruz is trying to control Shooter's posture but Shooter avoids it. Shooter throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Shooter in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Shooter staying calm.

Shooter is looking to take a break and control but Delacruz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Delacruz tries to buck Shooter off but Shooter is having none of it. Shooter trying to control the action but Delacruz is working from the bottom. Delacruz is looking to regain half guard here but Shooter keeps moving and retains side control.

Shooter trying to control the action but Delacruz is working from the bottom. Shooter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Delacruz can't do much from the bottom here. Delacruz is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Shooter is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Shooter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shooter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
