Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin St Andre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Andre comes to the cage accompanied by When the Saints Go Marching In. Charles has chosen Don't Fake the Funk by Prince Charles as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Benjamin St Andre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Charles! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Charles lands with a nice body punch. Donk. Charles catches St Andre right on the button with a cross. St Andre connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Charles's hands.
It looks like Henry Charles has been cut. A telegraphed right hand from St Andre misses the target. Sloppy strikes from Charles. Those never looked like landing. Charles thuds his right hand into St Andre's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. St Andre lands with a right hand. St Andre misses with a left hand and Charles counters with a nice body shot. St Andre definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Charles defending well as St Andre loads up on a big left hand. Charles blocks a low kick nicely. Charles cracks St Andre with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Charles slips under a jab from St Andre. Charles takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Charles fails with a takedown attempt. Charles throws out a token jab with nothing on it. St Andre pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

St Andre scores with a jab. Charles cracks St Andre with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. St Andre keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Charles has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. St Andre takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Nice defenses there by Charles. Charles ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Charles lands with a right hand. Charles drives through and clinches with St Andre against the cage.
St Andre tries to break free but Charles pushes him back against the cage. Charles keeps control of St Andre as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Charles tries to stall but St Andre uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles tries to close the distance and clinch but St Andre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Charles misses with a hook. St Andre ducked under it nicely. St Andre throws a leg kick but Charles sees it coming and checks it nicely. St Andre tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Charles waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract St Andre. St Andre catches Charles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A looping hook to the body misses from Charles. St Andre does a little dance to reset his feet. St Andre defending well as Charles loads up on a big left hand. St Andre thumps Charles with a low kick. Charles throws a combination that misses and St Andre counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Charles throws a combination that misses and St Andre connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Charles throws a hook to the side of St Andre's head but St Andre sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. St Andre works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. That's four minutes gone in the round. Charles walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. St Andre checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Charles looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Charles moves forwards but St Andre connects with a nice, crisp jab. St Andre is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Charles tries to close the distance and clinch up but St Andre swats him away and circles back towards the center. St Andre slips a jab and a cross from Charles.
St Andre throws a shot from downtown. Charles moves away and avoids it. A punch combination from St Andre misses. A jab from St Andre misses. St Andre throws a body punch but Charles moves out of range. St Andre scores with a jab. St Andre takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! St Andre pulls out of a head kick attempt.
St Andre will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Benjamin St Andre dominated that round. The cut man is working on Henry Charles's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Charles throws a nice looking combination but St Andre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Charles closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Charles lands in his opponent's guard. St Andre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Charles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. St Andre is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Charles showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Charles preventing the sweep. St Andre bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Charles's guard. Charles keeping full guard, as St Andre tries to pass. Charles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and St Andre defends well. Charles is adopting a defensive guard. Charles keeping moving, preventing St Andre from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. St Andre not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. St Andre trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. St Andre advances to half guard. Charles wants to get back to full guard. St Andre is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Charles doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time St Andre. Charles trying to hold on to St Andre's head to control him but St Andre postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. St Andre working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Charles's thigh. Charles counters though and makes it back to full guard. Charles keeping full guard, as St Andre tries to pass. St Andre sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Charles's guard. Charles works his way to full guard. Good work. Charles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. St Andre manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Charles lands a couple of digs. Charles wants to pass the guard but St Andre is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Charles accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Charles works a leg free and moves into half guard. Charles is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
St Andre is looking to control Charles's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can St Andre avoid being mounted? The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. St Andre moves into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Charles connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Charles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Henry Charles's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Charles drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. St Andre lands a leg kick that knocks Charles off balance momentarily. Nice defenses there by Charles. Charles has closed the distance and engaged St Andre in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Charles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. St Andre lands with a nice combination. Charles backs away looking to recover. Charles darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Charles is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. St Andre trying to control but Charles postures up.
St Andre is looking for a sweep. Charles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ground and pound from Charles. Charles looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks St Andre with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. St Andre is concentrating on defense, preventing Charles from advancing position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Charles seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but St Andre does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. St Andre wants to improve his position but Charles is controlling well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Charles stalling away here and it's allowed St Andre to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Charles trying to control the position from guard on top but St Andre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Charles is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Charles blocks a low kick nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charles has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by St Andre. Charles throws a hook but St Andre avoids it easily. Charles pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Charles on the wrong end of a nice hook. Henry Charles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Charles misses with an uppercut. St Andre saw that one coming. Charles checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Some bone on bone action there as Charles checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. St Andre lands a nice shot that snaps Charles's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. St Andre takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Nice shot lands for St Andre. St Andre lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! St Andre looks to land a right hand but Charles moved out of range. Charles blocks a low kick nicely. Charles blocks a jab. St Andre uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Charles.
