Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Didenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Roman Volkov enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vlad Didenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roman Volkov! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Didenko tries for a takedown but Volkov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Volkov waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Didenko. Volkov with a hook. Volkov cracks Didenko with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Didenko slips a jab and a cross from Volkov.
Didenko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Volkov misses with a double jab.
Didenko with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Volkov to score with a decent uppercut. Volkov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vlad Didenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Didenko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Volkov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Volkov misses with a hook. Didenko with a lazy takedown attempt and Volkov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vlad Didenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Volkov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Volkov wants it to stay on the feet. Didenko looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Didenko manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Volkov on his heels. He'll look to pass Volkov's guard now, I'm sure. Didenko stops Volkov from standing up. Didenko is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Volkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Didenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Didenko drops back looking for a leg! Volkov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Volkov manages to kick Didenko off! Didenko jumps back into Volkov's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Didenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Didenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Didenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Volkov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Didenko drops back for a leg! The fighters roll with the hold and Volkov manages to kick Didenko off! Didenko jumps back into Volkov's guard. Didenko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Didenko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volkov is looking to stand up but Didenko isn't so interested in that idea. Didenko works a leg free and moves into half guard. Didenko has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Volkov defend it? Didenko steps over the head and cranks it - Volkov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Didenko!
