Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyotto Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nogueira's choice of entrance music: Breath Into Me. Lyotto Nogueira is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira tries for a takedown but Hogan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hogan really is a fat lump.

Lyotto Nogueira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nogueira shoots for a double leg takedown but Hogan sprawls well. He's pushed Nogueira's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogan can't keep his opponent in guard - Nogueira advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Nogueira lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hogan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nogueira scores with a couple of nice shots.

Hogan has hold of Nogueira's hands but Nogueira slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hogan is rocked!
Hogan has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Nogueira lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Hogan quite badly. Hogan pulls Nogueira in close trying to recover. Nogueira postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Hogan on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Hogan doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lyotto Nogueira!
A relieved looking Lyotto Nogueira thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
