Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tirion Jackson Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Battery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tirion Jackson Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maximus Battery! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson Jr closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Battery to the mat! Battery manages to get full guard. Battery looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Jackson Jr looking to pass the guard. Jackson Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jackson Jr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jackson Jr avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Jackson Jr works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jackson Jr is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jackson Jr is trying to work for a kimura but Battery is defending well.
Jackson Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Battery is just riding it out for now. Jackson Jr eventually gives up the hold. Jackson Jr is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Battery has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Battery is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jackson Jr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jackson Jr's back! Battery is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Jackson Jr tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Battery looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Battery looking to secure an arm triangle but Jackson Jr defends it well. Battery has control of Jackson Jr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jackson Jr regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Battery looks gassed! Jackson Jr is trying desperately to improve position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson Jr manages to regain half guard. Good work. Jackson Jr works his way to full guard. Good work. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jackson Jr throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jackson Jr is looking for a triangle but Battery pushes his legs off easily.
Battery slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Battery cracks Jackson Jr with a big right hand but Jackson Jr just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Jackson Jr explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Jackson Jr tries for a takedown but Battery sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jackson Jr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Battery scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Battery looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson Jr tries to buck Battery off but Battery is having none of it. Battery thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jackson Jr tries to improve position but can't. Battery wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jackson Jr, who protects the arm well. Battery looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Battery tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Battery has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jackson Jr is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Battery off and has taken his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson Jr is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Battery defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Jackson Jr is trying to stick to Battery's back but Battery is turning into Jackson Jr. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jackson Jr's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Battery. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jackson Jr tries to land a sweep but no joy. Battery is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jackson Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Battery can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Jackson Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Battery has picked Jackson Jr up and slammed him! Jackson Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and Battery manages to pass to side control! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson Jr is looking for a sweep. Battery works to advance to full mount. Jackson Jr defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Jackson Jr is working to get back to half guard.
Jackson Jr defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Battery. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Tirion Jackson Jr will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Battery fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jackson Jr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Battery keeping full guard, as Jackson Jr tries to pass. Jackson Jr passes into half guard. Jackson Jr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Battery works his way to full guard. Good work. Jackson Jr preventing the sweep. Jackson Jr is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Battery keeping full guard, as Jackson Jr tries to pass.
