Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nasty Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Medeiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdock jabs at Medeiros 's body.
Nasty Murdock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murdock lands an overhand right.
Murdock lands a nice looking body shot.
Murdock jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Medeiros takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Murdock scores with a hook to the body. Medeiros takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Murdock throws a combination that misses

Murdock lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Murdock fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Medeiros on the side of the head.
Medeiros chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Murdock can pounce on him.
Murdock lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
We've been told by Murdock's head coaches at CT Antiga União that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Murdock lands a nice hook to Medeiros 's body. Medeiros takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Murdock scores with a jab to the jaw.

The fighters circle momentarily. Murdock darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Murdock has Medeiros up against the cage in a clinch.

Murdock has Medeiros pressed against the cage, preventing Medeiros from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Murdock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Murdock tries to clinch up but Medeiros circles away and keeps his distance.

Murdock dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Medeiros . That did some damage!
Medeiros throws a looping overhand right but Murdock ducks down to avoid it.

Medeiros misses with a left hand
letting Murdock counter with a right hand.
Medeiros is rocked!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Murdock and Medeiros are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Murdock throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Medeiros into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Murdock knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Nasty Murdock!
