Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dimont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sponge Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sponge Bones is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Dimont! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sponge Bones! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dimont gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bones counters with a straight right hand. Bones tries to clinch there but Dimont circles away.
Dimont shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bones counters by clinching up. Bones is pressed up against the cage. Dimont has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bones down to the mat. Bones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Dimont. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dimont with a lazy takedown attempt and Bones counters with a nice body shot. Bones closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Dimont did well to prevent Bones getting side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dimont works his way to full guard. Good work. Dimont bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bones's guard. Dimont throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dimont advances position into side control! Dimont trying to control the position but Bones is working away. Bones takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Dimont cracks Bones with an elbow. That is naaassty. Dimont looking to control but instead Bones has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Bones is refusing to be controlled, as Dimont sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dimont is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bones is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bones felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Bones should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Dimont stalling away here and it's allowed Bones to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Dimont wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dan Dimont. Bones drives through with a takedown into Dimont's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Dimont wants to sweep but no luck. Dimont has Bones pulled in close to control his posture. Dimont looking for a sweep. Not yet Dimont, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dimont fails to land the takedown. Nice takedown defense from Bones. No joy for Dimont on that attempt. Bones fails to land with a series of punches.
Dimont fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bones sprawls well initially but Dimont persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Bones looking for submissions off his back. Dimont lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Dimont dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dimont with a lazy takedown attempt and Bones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Bones gets the takedown into side control. Dimont sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Bones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dimont doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bones. Dimont desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dimont gets full guard. Bones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dimont is proving hard to escape from. Bones won't allow Dimont to sweep him here. Dimont lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bones! A nice elbow there by Dimont.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dimont with a couple of short strikes. Dimont landing strikes from the mount. Dimont will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Dimont scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Bones?
Dimont postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Bones badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Dimont around the waist but Dimont pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Dimont is the winner by TKO! Dimont jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Dimont!
