Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Blackwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malcolm Blackwell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Blackwell. Blackwell gets slowly back to his feet. Jones pushes Blackwell up against the cage in a clinch. Blackwell is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Blackwell to the mat. Blackwell regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Blackwell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jones stands and throws Blackwell's legs to the side, diving into side control. Blackwell manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Jones trying to control from half guard but Blackwell is working away. Jones trying to control the pace. Jones is looking to stall here but Blackwell recovers full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to control but Blackwell is working from the bottom. Blackwell controlling the position. Jones trying to control but Blackwell is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jon Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee. Jones moves into the clinch. Jones is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jones is trying to push Blackwell away but Blackwell has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Jones gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Blackwell regains guard.
Blackwell tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones trying to control but Blackwell is working from the bottom. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment. Blackwell keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blackwell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.
Blackwell wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon Jones hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Blackwell.
It looks like Malcolm Blackwell has been cut. Blackwell tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones is keen to just control but Blackwell is a slippery customer. Jones seems to be working for a kimura but Blackwell defends the submission attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blackwell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Malcolm Blackwell's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jones drives through and clinches with Blackwell against the cage.
Blackwell taking a breather. Jones has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Blackwell is trying to keep an underhook but Jones manages to get the takedown into half guard. Blackwell tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Blackwell is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jones decides to stand up. Jones closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Blackwell quickly recovers to half guard. Jones decides to stand up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to slow Blackwell down with leg kicks. Jones looking to score a takedown here. Blackwell is defending well but Jones drives through and ends up in Blackwell's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones throws an elbow that misses. Blackwell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Blackwell! Jones working a defensive guard but Blackwell passes into half guard.
Blackwell drops an elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to get back to full guard. Blackwell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones manages to escape and get back to his feet! Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. You can see the frustration on Blackwell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell is trying to get back to half guard. Blackwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Jon Jones has got the better of the ground game so far. Jones tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Blackwell is trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blackwell managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jones.
Jones trying to control the action but Blackwell is working from the bottom. Jones creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Blackwell sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Blackwell is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Malcolm Blackwell's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Blackwell manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Jones is looking for a sweep. Blackwell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Jones wants to control but Blackwell is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blackwell pulls his head out easily. Jones is pressing down on Blackwell's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blackwell stops Jones from standing up. Jones is trying to hold Blackwell in close to prevent damage but Blackwell has managed to pass into half guard.
Blackwell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jones wants to get back to full guard. Jones wants to control but Blackwell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jon Jones. Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Jones has taken the fight to the clinch.
Blackwell jumps guard.
Blackwell wants to improve his position but instead Jones has moved into half guard.
Jones wants to take a breather but Blackwell is having none of it. It looks like Jones is going to stand back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blackwell tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. Blackwell works his way to full guard. Good work. Blackwell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Blackwell is working an open guard so Jones takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Blackwell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blackwell throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Blackwell scores with a takedown into Jones's guard. Jones working a defensive guard here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones keeping moving, preventing Blackwell from controlling successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
