Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Dee BJ (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Dee BJ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Gracie!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

BJ clinches.
Gracie tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. BJ smiles and moves away.
BJ stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and BJ wants it to stay on the feet.

BJ instigates a clinch.

Gracie is fighting off a takedown attempt but BJ is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Gracie to the mat. Gracie regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
BJ postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
BJ slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
BJ lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

BJ decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Gracie takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Matt Gracie has been cut.
BJ tries to clinch up but Gracie circles away and keeps his distance.
Gracie throws a right hand that BJ ducks under and follows up with a left that BJ also avoids with ease.

BJ fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gracie sprawls well initially but BJ persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Gracie manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

BJ knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.

BJ thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Our spies down at at Demon's Elite Gym (12 Elite) inform us that Gracie has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. BJ connects with a nice short shot to Gracie's temple.
Gracie has hold of BJ's hands but BJ slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for BJ!
BJ is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea.

BJ is wriggling around trying to escape.
BJ on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if BJ tries to get out of the position.

BJ is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
BJ has the hooks in. Gracie is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Gracie trying to control the action but BJ just sinks the hooks in.
BJ lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Gracie.
BJ gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
BJ scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Gracie covers up after that shot from BJ.

BJ is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Gracie has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jay Dee BJ dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Matt Gracie's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

BJ shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. BJ gets slowly back to his feet.
BJ tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

BJ has managed to clinch.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but BJ turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
BJ slowing the pace effectively.

Gracie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gracie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
BJ stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. BJ manages to get himself to full guard.
BJ not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

BJ is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but BJ defends the submission attempt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie won't enjoy being in this position. BJ looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Gracie is tapping - it's over boys! BJ picks up the submission victory!
