Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marinus Kendrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Sommer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marinus Kendrick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sommer avoids the head kick by Kendrick.
Kendrick is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sommer's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kendrick lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kendrick is trying to work for a kimura but Sommer is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sommer is trying to maintain the position but Kendrick is very close to passing his half guard.
Kendrick perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Kendrick working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That was a close round but I would say that Marinus Kendrick will probably get the nod.
That's time! Kendrick's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sommer moves into range and clinches up with Kendrick.
Kendrick creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Sommer prevents the takedown attempt.
Kendrick tries to pull guard but Sommer forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Sommer is looking for a takedown.
Kendrick jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sommer walks away with a smile on his face. Kendrick gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kendrick gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sommer is stalling in the full guard.

Kendrick is trying to control the position from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Sommer tries for a takedown but Kendrick sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kendrick goes for a double leg but Sommer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sommer continues to drive forward.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kendrick as Sommer tries to tie him up.
Sommer is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kendrick can't fight it off and eventually Sommer manages to take the fight to the floor. Kendrick looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kendrick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sommer gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kendrick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sommer doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sommer manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kendrick is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sommer wants to pass the guard but Kendrick is keeping the position.
Kendrick isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sommer stacks Kendrick on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sommer!

Sommer tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Sommer cracks Kendrick with a big elbow.

Sommer is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kendrick knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A lull in the action here as Sommer stalls from top position.

Jonny Sommer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kendrick bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

I would just about give that final round to Jonny Sommer.
Well Sommer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
