PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Faustino English (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Kruger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tyson Kruger was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Faustino English!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyson Kruger!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
English throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kruger stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kruger scores with a takedown into English's guard.
Kruger is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
English is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

English is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kruger defends well.
Kruger pushing down on English's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Well, if Kruger is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

English really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like Kruger might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Kruger feints and as English raises his hands in defense, Kruger changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
English is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Let's hope that Kruger has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kruger feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kruger closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into English's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well Kruger has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
