Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Sayce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and murilo silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mathew Sayce! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, murilo silva! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though. silva scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Sayce is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sayce wants to control but silva is keeping busy.
silva is working for a submission of some sort.
Sayce is in trouble now - silva has advanced to mount! Sayce tries to hold on but silva postures up. Sayce can't escape the position.
silva looking for a guillotine from mount but Sayce is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. silva stands up from mount. Strange move. Sayce tries for a takedown but silva circles away easily and silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sayce tries for a takedown but silva manages to get underhooks.
Sayce wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. silva tries to pull guard but Sayce holds him up against the cage and eventually silva drops back down to his feet.

A short right from Sayce. silva has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sayce clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! silva tightening his grip on Sayce, looking for the choke. silva looks gassed! Sayce holding both silva 's hands and preventing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sayce can't escape the position.
silva tries to keep control of the position but Sayce is staying busy. I really don't envy Sayce right now.
silva looking to break Sayce's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sayce remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise silva will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! silva is persistently looking for the submission but Sayce is defending it well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. silva tries to get the hooks in deep but Sayce pushed the leg off. silva somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Will silva go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
silva looking to hold on to the position here but Sayce rolls and ends up regaining guard.
silva wants to control from the top but Sayce keeps moving. Sayce wants to get back to his feet but silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Sayce is wriggling around but silva manages to pass to half guard.
silva prevents Sayce from standing back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sayce misses with a wild combination.
Sayce with a lazy takedown attempt and silva counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathew Sayce. That's going to take a lot out of him. silva with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. silva pushes down on Sayce's leg and manages to get into half guard. silva works his way into full mount! Sayce is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. silva manages to capitalize on a mistake by Sayce to take his back! silva has the hooks in. Sayce is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Sayce knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for silva on the ground. silva lands an elbow to the side of the head. Sayce is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if silva gets his way!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
murilo silva dominated that round. That's time! Sayce's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sayce throws a sloppy head kick and silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sayce's guard now. murilo silva has got the better of the ground game so far. silva content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. silva is stalling in the full guard. Sayce tries to land a sweep but no joy. silva not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Sayce is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. silva scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. silva stands and steps away. Sayce gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Sayce falls off balance throwing a combination
and silva counters with a shoot takedown. Sayce fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sayce is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. silva works a leg free and moves into half guard. Still in half guard, silva seems content to control. Sayce wants to control but silva is keeping busy and won't allow it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
silva is keen to just control but Sayce is a slippery customer. silva controlling the pace. silva passes the guard and advances to mount! Sayce has left one of his arms exposed and silva doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Sayce screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
