Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rulez tries a head kick but it misses.
Rulez misses with a series of wild punches.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Rulez.
Johnson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Johnson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rulez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rulez's back!
Johnson is looking for the choke from the back position but Rulez is controlling his hands well.
Johnson doesn't have the hooks in and Rulez manages to turn into his guard.

Johnson has his foot on Rulez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rulez works his way back into a safe position though.

Rulez wants to sweep here but Johnson controlling him for the moment.
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rulez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Rulez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard.

Johnson manages to get to full guard.
Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rulez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rulez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rulez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Johnson is looking to sweep but instead, Rulez has passed into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rulez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Johnson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rulez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rulez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rulez manages to get himself to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Rulez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rulez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rulez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A big left from Rulez misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Rulez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rulez just stands there and leans against the cage.
Johnson jumps guard but Rulez stands there with Johnson around his waist. Johnson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Fejao Rulez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Turd Johnson.

Rulez is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rulez down to the mat. Rulez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there.
Johnson is looking for a kimura here.
Johnson is looking to advance position but Rulez won't allow it.
Johnson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rulez is just riding it out for now. Johnson eventually gives up the hold.
Rulez is trying to maintain the position but Johnson is very close to passing his half guard.

Johnson uses his free foot to push down on Rulez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rulez.
Rulez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Johnson wants to finish this one by submission but Rulez is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Johnson.
Johnson prevents Rulez from getting the reversal.
