Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kong Fuzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Oketch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuzi comes into the arena with 'Confucius Say' blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kong Fuzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vincent Oketch! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oketch misses with a wild body shot. An inside leg kick from Oketch misses. Fuzi avoids the head kick by Oketch.
Oketch stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Oketch wants it to stay on the feet. Oketch misses with a lunging right hand
and Fuzi counters with a takedown into side control. Oketch wants to control but Fuzi postures up. Oketch tries to improve position but can't. Fuzi working away. Oketch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fuzi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fuzi trying to control the position but Oketch is working away. Oketch is looking for a sweep. Fuzi sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Oketch is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Fuzi working away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fuzi looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Oketch is avoiding damage well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oketch is looking for a sweep. Oketch is trying to control Fuzi's posture but Fuzi avoids it. Fuzi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fuzi working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Oketch sneaks back into half guard. Fuzi is keen to just control but Oketch is a slippery customer. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Oketch can do anything to dispel that myth. Oketch tries to roll over but Fuzi keeps him under control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oketch slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Fuzi trying to control the position from guard on top but Oketch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Fuzi pushes down on Oketch's leg and manages to get into half guard. Fuzi wants to advance to full mount but Oketch doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Fuzi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Oketch's guard. Oketch works his way to full guard. Good work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Oketch pulls Fuzi in close to his closed guard and prevents Fuzi from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fuzi trying to control the position from guard on top but Oketch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Oketch utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Oketch is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fuzi is looking to work some ground and pound but Oketch has wrist control. Fuzi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Oketch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fuzi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Oketch keeping moving, preventing Fuzi from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oketch working a defensive guard here.
Fuzi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Oketch's guard. Oketch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fuzi is working away from the top position though. Fuzi trying to control from half guard but Oketch is working away. Fuzi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Fuzi thows a huge punch but Oketch dodges it nicely.

Kong Fuzi dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Fuzi checks a leg kick. Oketch looking to score a takedown here. Fuzi is defending well but Oketch drives through and ends up in Fuzi's guard. Oketch is looking to advance position but Fuzi has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Oketch can't escape the position.
Fuzi throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Oketch is squirming around, avoiding Fuzi's attempts to control the action. Oketch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fuzi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Oketch tries to hold on but Fuzi pushes him away. Oketch might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fuzi haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Oketch is just holding on here. Fuzi manages to take his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuzi tries to get the hooks in deep but Oketch pushed the leg off. Oketch wants to escape the position.
Fuzi patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Fuzi trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Kong Fuzi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Even with his hooks in, Fuzi manages to miss with strikes from the back. Oketch just trying to survive but Fuzi is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Oketch is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Fuzi off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Fuzi working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Oketch trying to control the action but Fuzi just sinks the hooks in.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuzi is trying to stick to Oketch's back but Oketch is turning into Fuzi. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fuzi's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Oketch. Oketch pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fuzi is keeping the position for now. Fuzi wants to sweep here but Oketch controlling him for the moment. Oketch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Fuzi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Oketch has managed to get both his arms back between Fuzi's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Oketch wants to pass the guard but Fuzi is keeping the position. Oketch must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oketch passes Fuzi's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Fuzi is not content to let Oketch control the position. Oketch wants to pass the guard but Fuzi is defending well. Oketch seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Oketch is trying to control the action in half guard but Fuzi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Fuzi tries to get to full guard but Oketch has control of the leg. Fuzi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fuzi. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oketch stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fuzi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fuzi keeping moving, preventing Oketch from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kong Fuzi will probably get the nod. That's time! Fuzi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Oketch dives in and scores a takedown into Fuzi's guard. Fuzi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oketch defends it easily. Fuzi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Oketch is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Oketch lying in Fuzi's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Fuzi decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Oketch taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kong Fuzi! Kong Fuzi got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
