Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kallan Slevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Todd Lane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kallan Slevin! The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slevin moves into range and clinches up with Lane. Lane goes for a takedown attempt but Slevin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Slevin closes the distance and clinches up with Lane, looking for a takedown. Slevin pushes Lane against the cage but Lane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Slevin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lane is fending him off so far but Slevin persists. Nope, Lane circles away and we're back to standing. Slevin tries for a takedown but Lane circles away easily and Lane counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lane. Todd Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kallan Slevin. Lane tries to pull guard but Slevin holds him up against the cage and eventually Lane drops back down to his feet.
Slevin is looking for a takedown. Slevin is trying to break the clinch but Lane is controlling him. Slevin is trying to push Lane away but Lane has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Lane tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Slevin just stands there and leans against the cage. Slevin jumps guard but Lane stands there with Slevin around his waist. Slevin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slevin gets underhooks to prevent Lane's takedown attempt.
Lane is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Slevin to keep the fight standing. Slevin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lane walks away with a smile on his face. Slevin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Slevin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Slevin lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Lane jumps guard but Slevin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Slevin displaying some good clinch control by pressing Lane up against the cage. Slevin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Lane tries to score a body lock takedown but Slevin shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Lane gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lane is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Lane with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slevin is holding on to half guard well. Slevin trying to control but Lane postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Slevin is looking for a sweep. Lane is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lane is looking to take a break and control but Slevin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Slevin is defending against the submission attempts here by Lane.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lane throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Slevin to regain full guard. Lane wants to control from the top but Slevin keeps moving. Slevin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Slevin wants to sweep here but Lane controlling him for the moment. Slevin looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Slevin wants to get back to his feet but Lane is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lane stands and steps away. Slevin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kallan Slevin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slevin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Slevin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Lane blocks a head kick by Slevin.
Slevin throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Lane counters by clinching up. Lane jumps into guard, dragging Slevin to the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Lane is breathing heavily. Slevin sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Todd Lane will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Slevin looks for a takedown but Lane sprawls well. Slevin throws a series of punches but Lane avoids them all with ease. Slevin moves into range and clinches up with Lane. A frustrated look appears on Slevin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Slevin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Lane taking a breather. Lane looking for a takedown. Lane pulls Slevin into guard.
Slevin controls from within his opponent's guard. Slevin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lane wants to improve his position but instead Slevin has moved into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Slevin works his way into full mount! Slevin controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lane regains half guard. Slevin decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Slevin fails to land the takedown. Horrible takedown by Slevin or perhaps it was just good defense by Lane which made him look bad. Todd Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kallan Slevin. Slevin is breathing heavily. Slevin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lane.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slevin has managed to clinch.
Lane manages to pull guard.
Lane wants to hit a switch here but Slevin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lane there! Slevin trying to control but Lane is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slevin has control of Lane's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lane regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slevin working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Slevin controlling from the full mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lane is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kallan Slevin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Lane gets tackled into the cage by Slevin. Slevin maintains the clinch. Slevin working hard to break the clinch. Slevin pulls Lane into guard.
Slevin wants to stand up but Lane is controlling him. Lane sitting in guard here, content to control. Lane wants to control from the top but Slevin keeps moving. Lane is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Slevin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Slevin has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lane isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Slevin stacks Lane on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Slevin! Lane tries to bench press Slevin off him but Slevin keeps the position. Slevin trying to control the action but Lane is working from the bottom. Slevin throws an elbow but Lane slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slevin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lane to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Slevin. Slevin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lane moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Slevin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slevin but Slevin pushes him off and we're back to square one. No luck for Slevin with that takedown attempt. Slevin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slevin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Todd Lane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kallan Slevin. Slevin moves into range and clinches up with Lane. Slevin is defending well against a takedown attempt. Lane looking to throw knees to the head but Slevin is blocking nicely.
Slevin ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Slevin no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lane trying to control the position from guard on top but Slevin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slevin pulls Lane in close to prevent any damage. Lane trying to control but Slevin is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Todd Lane wasn't doing enough on the ground. Slevin throws a wild body kick that Lane sees coming a mile off. Slevin has a takedown stuffed. Lane decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lane is keen to just control but Slevin is a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Kallan Slevin. Well Slevin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
