Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milton Merritt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liam Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Milton Merritt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Liam Booth! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Merritt darts in and clinches Booth up against the cage. Merritt effectively controlling the action here. Booth fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Merritt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Booth tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Merritt wants to clinch up but Booth keeps it at a distance. Merritt darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Merritt is working for a kimura but Booth is defending it quite comfortably.
Merritt takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Merritt is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Booth is trying to stand up here but Merritt is controlling him well. Merritt is figuring out what he wants to do next. Booth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Merritt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Merritt in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Booth tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Merritt!
