PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison Cambroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Weber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harrison Cambroy!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cambroy tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Weber lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cambroy at a distance.
A head kick by Weber misses

and Cambroy counters with a takedown into side control.

Cambroy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Weber is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Cambroy stands up.
Cambroy throws a leg kick which misses Weber's front leg but catches the back leg as Weber tries to avoid it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cambroy looks to clinch
and Weber counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Cambroy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Weber to the mat! Weber manages to get full guard.
Weber is pulling down on Cambroy's head. It's preventing any offense from Cambroy, at least for the moment.
Cambroy looking to pass the guard.

Cambroy controls from within his opponent's guard.

Weber has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Cambroy off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Cambroy clinches up with Weber and pushes him back against the cage.
Cambroy throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Weber blocks it with crossed arms.
Cambroy lands a shot to the body.

Cambroy has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Weber is trying to keep an underhook but Cambroy manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Cambroy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Cambroy content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Cambroy thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ground and pound from Cambroy.
Weber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cambroy wants to free his trapped foot but Weber is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Cambroy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Weber keeps working.
Weber tries to roll over but Cambroy keeps him under control.
Weber really is a fat lump.
Weber tries to kick Cambroy off but Cambroy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Weber slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Cambroy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Weber swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cambroy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Cambroy tries to free his leg and advance position but Weber is retaining full guard.
Cambroy trying to control the position from guard on top but Weber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Harrison Cambroy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Cambroy wants to clinch up but Weber keeps it at a distance.

Cambroy shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Cambroy wants to get back to his feet.

Cambroy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cambroy seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison Cambroy dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Cambroy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Weber's half guard.
Weber is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cambroy scores with a couple of nice shots.
Cambroy thows a huge punch but Weber dodges it nicely.
Weber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Weber tries to kick Cambroy off but Cambroy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Weber is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cambroy wants to control but Weber is keeping him busy.
Weber regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Cambroy.
Cambroy wants to get up but he can't break Weber's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cambroy throws a right hand that Weber ducks under and follows up with a left that Weber also avoids with ease.

Cambroy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cambroy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Weber defends it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cambroy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cambroy decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Cambroy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Weber!

Cambroy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Weber's shoulder. That is not cool.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Cambroy. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Weber tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Cambroy working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Cambroy stands up.
Cambroy misses with a wild combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Cambroy closes the distance and pushes Weber back into the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Weber's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Cambroy jumps guard and drags Weber to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Weber engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Cambroy is controlling Weber's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Weber looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Cambroy can't keep his opponent in guard - Weber advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Harrison Cambroy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Weber is trying to get back to full guard.
Weber is working hard here to advance position.
Weber is looking to control Cambroy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Weber avoid being mounted?
Cambroy winds up and cracks Weber with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Cambroy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Weber won't allow Cambroy to pass to mount.
Weber is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Weber gets caught napping as Cambroy dives in and scores a takedown. Weber manages to retain guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cambroy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Weber's guard.
Weber is controlling Cambroy's posture.
Cambroy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Weber keeping moving, preventing Cambroy from controlling successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Harrison Cambroy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Cambroy gets the takedown into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cambroy is trying to get an arm triangle but Weber is defending well.
Weber tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Weber is looking to get to half guard.
Cambroy sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Cambroy trying to control but Weber is having none of it.
Weber wants to hold on but Cambroy pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cambroy controlling from the full mount.
Weber is in all sorts of trouble here.
Harrison Cambroy has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cambroy trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Weber is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Cambroy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Weber can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Harrison Cambroy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cambroy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
