Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joesph Clements! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcus Kyntaz! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clements tries to clinch but Kyntaz is having none of it. Clements tries to clinch and Kyntaz counters with a left and a right that stings Clements. Kyntaz scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Clements tries to clinch but Kyntaz moves out of range. Kyntaz throws a lazy head kick and Clements holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Clements stalling the fight.
Clements taking a breather. Kyntaz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kyntaz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Clements trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Kyntaz has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Clements is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Come on Kyntaz - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kyntaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clements is trying to pull guard but Kyntaz turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Clements tries to pull guard but Kyntaz won't allow it.

Joesph Clements has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Kyntaz. Kyntaz tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Clements just stands there and leans against the cage. Clements breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kyntaz misses with a hook
letting Clements counter with a right hand. Kyntaz takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Clements connects with a high kick. Clements displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kyntaz.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clements tries to clinch up but Kyntaz circles away and keeps his distance. Kyntaz misses with a wild body shot. Kyntaz dives in and grabs Clements's left leg, looking for a takedown. Clements pushes down on Kyntaz's head and hops out. Kyntaz has a takedown stuffed. Kyntaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kyntaz throws a body punch but Clements moves out of range. Clements throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Kyntaz's head. Clements gets a clinch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kyntaz slows down the pace here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyntaz jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Clements walks away with a smile on his face. Kyntaz gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Kyntaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Clements swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kyntaz with a poor takedown and Clements finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Clements tries to clinch but Kyntaz is having none of it. Clements wants to clinch up but Kyntaz keeps it at a distance. Clements darts in and clinches Kyntaz up against the cage. Clements breaks the clinch.
Clements rushes Kyntaz and presses him up against the cage. Kyntaz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Clements pulls guard effortlessly. Kyntaz sitting in guard here, content to control. Clements is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Clements has an active guard here but Kyntaz has managed to pass into half guard.
Clements wants to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Clements keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joesph Clements will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kyntaz tries to bum rush Clements with a series of wild strikes but Clements uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nice takedown defense from Clements. No joy for Kyntaz on that attempt. Marcus Kyntaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clements closes the distance but Kyntaz moves to the side and Kyntaz counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kyntaz with a lazy takedown attempt and Clements counters by clinching up. Kyntaz leaning against his opponent.
Kyntaz wants to get back to striking at distance but Clements won't allow it.
Clements breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clements clinches up with Kyntaz and pushes him back against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Clements is trying to push Kyntaz away but Kyntaz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyntaz is working for takedown but Clements is calmly controlling the position for now. Joesph Clements has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Kyntaz. Kyntaz misses with an elbow strike.
Kyntaz tries to pull guard but Clements forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Clements keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kyntaz's efforts to push away. Kyntaz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Clements.
Clements tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kyntaz just stands there and leans against the cage. Clements manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Kyntaz's corner is telling him to maintain position. Clements working for a triangle but Kyntaz defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clements escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kyntaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kyntaz is pushing down on Clements's leg trying to pass to half guard. Clements is fighting to maintain full guard but Kyntaz has managed to sneak the leg through. Clements is trying to stand back up but Kyntaz is controlling him
Clements looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kyntaz is trying to control the action in half guard but Clements is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyntaz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Clements's head. Kyntaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kyntaz is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Clements defends it well. Kyntaz slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Clements is trying to stand up here but Kyntaz is controlling him well. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kyntaz wants to free his trapped foot but Clements is holding on for dear life with his legs. Well, if Kyntaz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Marcus Kyntaz. Kyntaz shoots in looking for a takedown but Clements manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kyntaz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Clements avoids the head kick by Kyntaz.

Kyntaz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Clements back to the cage. Kyntaz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Kyntaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Clements tries to clinch up and Kyntaz counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Kyntaz circles away from the clinch attempt and Kyntaz counters with a left to the body. Kyntaz closes the distance and clinches up with Clements, looking for a takedown. Kyntaz pushes Clements against the cage but Clements circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Marcus Kyntaz seems to be getting the better of the standup. Clements tries to clinch up but Kyntaz circles away and keeps his distance. Kyntaz fails in his attempt to clinch. Kyntaz tries a low kick but Clements avoids it. Kyntaz fails with the takedown and Clements counters with a thumping low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyntaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Joesph Clements has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Kyntaz. Kyntaz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kyntaz fails with the takedown. Clements wants to clinch. Kyntaz swats away the attempt to clinch by Clements. The fight stays on the outside here - Clements looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Clements counters with a nice body kick.
Kyntaz throws a low kick but it's checked well by Clements. Clements is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kyntaz is looking to clinch but Clements is avoiding it.
Clements keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Clements has closed the distance and engaged Kyntaz in a clinch.
Kyntaz takes an elbow to the temple. Clements prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyntaz is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kyntaz is trying to stall.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Kyntaz stalling in the clinch but Clements improves position. Kyntaz throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Clementss head. Clements tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kyntaz smiles and moves away.
Clements tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kyntaz counters with a series of strikes. Clements will be more careful next time no doubt. Clements closes the distance looking to clinch and Kyntaz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Clements wants to control from the top but Kyntaz keeps moving. Kyntaz throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Clements slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Clements gets to his feet. Kyntaz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Marcus Kyntaz. I think Kyntaz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
