The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adamek throws out a loose jab but Miller uses good head movement to avoid it. Miller fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Adamek lands a big uppercut and Miller crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Miller looks OK. Adamek waves Miller back to his feet!
It looks like Shealtiel Miller has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miller shoots in for a double leg but Adamek sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Adamek tries to bum rush Miller with a series of wild strikes but Miller uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Shealtiel Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Miller goes for a double leg but Adamek avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Adamek continues to drive forward. Miller gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. That's one minute gone in the round. Adamek wants to stand and escape but Miller is having none of it. Miller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Miller slips nicely into half guard. Miller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Adamek has managed to free his arm - good work. Miller is trying to control the action in half guard but Adamek is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Adamek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miller is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
