Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richie McCaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCaw comes to the cage accompanied by Seeing Things. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richie McCaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dean Anderson! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCaw slips a jab from Anderson. A slapping leg kick lands for Anderson.
McCaw gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Anderson to score an easy takedown into full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. McCaw controls Anderson momentarily but Anderson frees himself. Anderson throwing strikes from guard but McCaw blocks nicely. McCaw wants to hit a switch here but Anderson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for McCaw there! Anderson landing shots from mount. This has been an exciting period of action! McCaw is desperately trying to improve his position but Anderson has a good base and remains in mount. McCaw wants to hold on but Anderson pushes him away. Anderson lands a nice shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCaw sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for McCaw! Anderson scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish McCaw?
Anderson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Anderson breaks from McCaw's wrist control and lands an elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Anderson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
McCaw bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Anderson looking for a guillotine here but McCaw defends easily.
Anderson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McCaw defends it easily. McCaw slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Anderson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. McCaw working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. McCaw takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McCaw sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Anderson defending well though. Anderson is looking to improve his position.
Anderson connecting with a few gentle strikes. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCaw thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anderson's head. Anderson is trying to maintain the position but McCaw is very close to passing his half guard. Anderson is trying to get back to full guard. McCaw passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Anderson! Anderson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCaw wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely. Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McCaw raining down hammerfists from mount.
It looks like Dean Anderson has been cut. Anderson is squirming around, avoiding McCaw's attempts to control the action. McCaw lands a big shot there that rocks Anderson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That has opened up Dean Anderson's cut even more.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dean Anderson's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Richie McCaw! A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Richie McCaw made sure he mentioned Pirates Powder, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
