Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wesley James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bartek Rebzda! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rebzda stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rebzda wants it to stay on the feet. No luck for James with that takedown attempt. Rebzda shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. James might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rebzda with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Rebzda trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. Rebzda throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rebzda tries to pass to full mount but James defends it. Rebzda is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so James is just riding it out for now. Rebzda eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. James is looking to escape. James works his way to full guard. Good work. Rebzda won't allow James to sweep him here. Rebzda missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James can't keep his opponent in guard - Rebzda advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rebzda trying to pass the guard but James defending well. James is looking for a sweep. Rebzda is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. James is looking to control Rebzda's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can James avoid being mounted? Rebzda tries to stand but his hand is stuck under James. Rebzda thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. James is staying active underneath Rebzda, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rebzda wants to stand up but James is controlling the position.
James misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Rebzda tries to pass the half guard into mount. James knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Rebzda tries to stand and escape but James actually recovers to full guard. James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. James keeping moving, preventing Rebzda from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rebzda looking to pass the guard. Rebzda slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Rebzda controlling from side mount. James is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bartek Rebzda dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

James is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. James makes his way to full guard. A much better position for James. James bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rebzda's guard. Rebzda trying to strike off his back.
Bartek Rebzda has got the better of the ground game so far. James loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rebzda looking to sweep here. No luck so far. James in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. James gets to his feet - Rebzda follows without any prompting. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rebzda closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. James quickly recovers to half guard. Rebzda is breathing heavily. James gets full guard. James tries to land a sweep but no joy. James is trying to control the position but Rebzda postures up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now James is on top in guard.

James really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rebzda is looking to sweep but instead, James has passed into half guard.

Rebzda is trying to defend against the ground and pound but James scores with a couple of nice shots. James thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rebzda's head. James looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rebzda with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. James is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. James lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. James lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Rebzda is looking to get back to is feet but James passes into side control.
James lands a nice forearm strike. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James working the ground and pound. James tries for a kimura but Rebzda is defending well. James wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rebzda, who protects the arm well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wesley James dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

James closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rebzda tries to get to full guard but James has control of the leg. James throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. James prevents Rebzda from improving his position.

James takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Rebzda is looking to escape. Rebzda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. James lands with a punch from half guard. Rebzda avoiding damage under a succession of punches from James. James scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rebzda is pressing down on James's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. James throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. James loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. James landing with the ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rebzda preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. James throws a big elbow that misses. Rebzda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. James throws an elbow that misses. Rebzda uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in James's guard. Nice move by Rebzda! Rebzda won't allow James to sweep him here. Rebzda wanted to stand there but James had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rebzda is one step ahead there. Rebzda postures up in James's guard and throws a big left but James blocks it. Rebzda controlling from the top position. Rebzda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rebzda manages to get himself to full guard.
James postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rebzda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. James missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. James throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. James lands a couple of decent looking shots. James keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rebzda's head. James postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that's the end of the fight! Wesley James showed his dominance in that final round. I think James has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
