Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clayton Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Quick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clayton Davis! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis looks to land a combination but Quick avoids it well. Quick fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Quick shoots in looking for a takedown. Davis tries to sprawl out of it but Quick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Quick tries to get back to half guard but can't. Quick is working hard here to advance position. Davis content just to control the position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quick sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Quick might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Davis tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Quick looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Davis trying to pass the guard but Quick defending well. Davis is looking to take a break and control but Quick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Quick is looking to improve his position.
Davis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quick keeps working.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Davis has closed the distance and engaged Quick in a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Quick bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Davis's guard. Davis is looking to stand up but Quick isn't so interested in that idea. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth. Quick drops back, looking for a kneebar! Davis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Davis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Davis! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Quick tries to bench press Davis off him but Davis keeps the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quick is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Davis's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Clayton Davis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Davis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Quick is looking to escape.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Quick closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Quick is looking to pass Davis's guard but actually Davis recovers to full guard. Quick forces his way into half guard.

Quick thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Quick is nestled in close to Davis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Davis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Quick wants to work for an arm triangle but Davis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Quick is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Davis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Quick. Davis is trying to stand back up but Quick is controlling him
And that's the end of the fight! Clayton Davis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Davis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
