Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bak Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Hank Mir has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hank Mir seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sagat gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mir accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Mir has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mir postures up in Sagat's guard and throws a big left but Sagat blocks it. Sagat keeping full guard, as Mir tries to pass. Mir wants to control from the top but Sagat keeps moving. Mir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sagat is keeping the position for now. Mir working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sagat tries a head kick but it misses.

Mir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sagat but Sagat pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mir looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mir is looking for a kimura but Sagat is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mir to get the leverage. Mir takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sagat keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Mir is keen to just control but Sagat is a slippery customer. Mir is looking for a kimura here.

Mir bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sagat's guard.

Sagat keeping moving, preventing Mir from controlling successfully. Mir cracks Sagat with a solid left hand. Sagat wants to stand and escape but Mir is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mir avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sagat looks to land a right hand but Mir moved out of range. Mir scores a takedown into full mount! Mir thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Mir connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sagat some visible discomfort.

Hank Mir overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mir tries to pass to full mount but Sagat defends it. Mir checks the leg kick nicely there.

Mir changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sagat tries to avoid it but Mir manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sagat to the ground. Sagat escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Mir takes a knee right on the jaw!

Sagat throws a series of punches but Mir moves out of range. Mir closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sagat to the mat! Sagat manages to get full guard. Sagat wants to get back to his feet but Mir is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Mir stands up over Sagat, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Mir advances position into side control! Bak Sagat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mir throwing shots but missing, from side control. Mir working the strikes but Sagat uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Sagat is trying to stand.
And that's the end of the fight! Hank Mir showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mir, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
