Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chael Sonnen! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sonnen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily. Johnson throws a series of punches but Sonnen moves out of range. Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Sonnen fails to land the takedown. Sonnen walks into a left hand. Johnson cracks a nice hook into Sonnen's ribs. Sonnen looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well. Carl Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sonnen. Johnson lands a jab to the head.
Johnson sizes up Sonnen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sonnen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Johnson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Johnson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Johnson throws a series of punches but Sonnen avoids them all with ease. Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sonnen doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
A left lands for Johnson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sonnen on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Carl Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Sonnen takes one to the chin there. Sonnen shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Johnson lands with a good body shot. Sonnen closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Johnson quickly recovers to half guard. Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. Johnson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Sonnen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sonnen on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson tries to kick Sonnen off but Sonnen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Sonnen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Sonnen wants to clinch. Sonnen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Johnson lands a really nice looking cross but Sonnen seems unphased.
Johnson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Johnson lands a two punch combo.
Carl Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A left lands for Johnson. Johnson slaps away a takedown attempt from Sonnen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Johnson lands a head shot. Johnson feints a jab promting Sonnen to slip. Johnson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sonnen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson misses with a double jab.
Johnson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Johnson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Johnson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing. Johnson cracks Sonnen with an open hand slap. Johnson with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sonnen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Johnson tests Sonnen's chin there with a solid looking shot. Johnson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sonnen's head backwards. A combination from Johnson does no damage. Sonnen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson leaves Sonnen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Johnson scores with a one two! Sonnen had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Nice straight punches there by Johnson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Johnson. This has been an exciting period of action! Johnson blocks a head kick by Sonnen.
Johnson with a nice cross. Sonnen dives in for a single leg takedown but Johnson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Johnson can't break the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Johnson wants to break free but Sonnen has control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Johnson is trying to break the clinch but Sonnen is controlling him. Sonnen lands an elbow just above Johnson 's eye. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Johnson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Johnson connects with a right hand. Sonnen shakes it off. Sonnen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Johnson lands an overhand right. Sonnen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A shot to the liver by Johnson. Beautiful body shot. Good exchange - Johnson coming out on top. Johnson with a jab. Good exchange - Johnson coming out on top. Sonnen shoots in looking for a takedown but Johnson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sonnen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Johnson tries to bum rush Sonnen with a series of wild strikes but Sonnen uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Sonnen doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.

Sonnen drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jab from Johnson. Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Sonnen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson catches Sonnen with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Sonnen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sonnen tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sonnen has time to react. Johnson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sonnen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jab by Johnson. Sonnen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sonnen is rocked! Johnson lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Sonnen can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Johnson and Sonnen drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Johnson.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Johnson! After winning the bout, Carl Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
