2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adriano Ribeiro! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mills missing with a left hand there. Ribeiro was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mills gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ribeiro to score an easy takedown into full guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Mills not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Ribeiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mills is just riding it out for now. Ribeiro eventually gives up the hold. Ribeiro looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Mills is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Mills looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ribeiro is looking for a kimura but Mills is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ribeiro to get the leverage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ribeiro is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mills doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ribeiro. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adriano Ribeiro has got the better of the ground game so far. Ribeiro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mills is proving hard to escape from. Mills tries to land a sweep but no joy. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mills is on top in guard.

He's bucked Ribeiro off and has taken his back! Ribeiro is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Mills off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Mills working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Ribeiro is doing well to defend. Mills seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Ribeiro is forced to tap and this one is over!
