Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Danny Mitchell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mitchell has Herman up against the cage in a clinch.
Mitchell is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Herman lands a nice knee to the body.
Mitchell wants to break free but Herman has control.
Mitchell blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mitchell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Herman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mitchell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Herman takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Mitchell is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Herman's half guard.

Mitchell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Herman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Herman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Mitchell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mitchell is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Herman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mitchell!
Herman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Herman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mitchell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mitchell shrugs it off.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mitchell shoots in for a takedown but Herman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mitchell has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Herman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mitchell.

You can see the frustration on Mitchell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Herman remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Mitchell connects with a body shot that sends Herman's belly button to the back.

Mitchell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Herman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jacob Herman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Mitchell.

I would just about give that final round to Danny Mitchell.
Well Mitchell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
