Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zachary Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daisuke Numazawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendoza's entrance music is Back For More. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zachary Mendoza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daisuke Numazawa!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Numazawa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mendoza was well out of range. Poor timing from Numazawa.
Mendoza throws a series of punches but Numazawa avoids them all with ease.
Mendoza swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The crowd cheers as Mendoza lands an impressive looking overhand right. Numazawa doesn't seem phased though.
Mendoza cracks Numazawa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Numazawa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mendoza.
Numazawa misses with a head kick.
Numazawa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mendoza.
Mendoza lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Mendoza throws a hook to the side of Numazawa's head but Numazawa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mendoza scores with a jab. Numazawa acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A jab from Mendoza finds it's way through Numazawa's defenses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mendoza uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Numazawa.
Mendoza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Numazawa walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Numazawa throws a looping overhand right but Mendoza ducks down to avoid it.
Mendoza checks a leg kick.
Mendoza moves forwards but Numazawa connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Numazawa walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mendoza checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Numazawa shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Numazawa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mendoza keeps working.
Mendoza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Numazawa is nestled in close to Mendoza, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Numazawa frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Mendoza tries to reverse the position but Numazawa maintains control.
Mendoza trying desperately to get to his feet.
Numazawa working for a submission but Mendoza is keeping him at bay.
Numazawa landing strikes, looking to finish!
Mendoza is trying to escape the mount.
Numazawa working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Mendoza is squirming around, avoiding Numazawa's attempts to control the action.
Mendoza is wriggling around trying to escape.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Numazawa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
