Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashley Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Mas que Nada. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Da Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ashley Scott!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Scott. That did some damage!

Da Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Da Silva lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Da Silva connects with a knee to the head.


It looks like Ashley Scott has been cut.
Da Silva misses with the head strike.

Scott has hold of one of Da Silva's legs. Da Silva is fighting the takedown attempt but Scott gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Da Silva is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Scott has Da Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Da Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Anderson Da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ashley Scott.

Scott has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Da Silva clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Scott looks for a takedown but Da Silva sprawls well.

Da Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Scott wants to control but Da Silva is keeping busy.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Scott can do anything to dispel that myth.
Scott is controlling Da Silva's trapped leg to prevent Da Silva from advancing to side control.
Scott wants to improve his position but Da Silva is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Da Silva wants to stand up but Scott is controlling the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Scott tries to free his leg and advance position but Da Silva is retaining full guard.

Scott won't allow Da Silva to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Scott feints and as Da Silva raises his hands in defense, Scott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Da Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Da Silva is looking to stand up but Scott isn't so interested in that idea.

That was a close round but I would say that Anderson Da Silva will probably get the nod.

Da Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Scott's waist but Scott gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Da Silva off to one side.
