Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo William (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kallan Slevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kallan Slevin will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alonzo William! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kallan Slevin! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Francis DeMontford and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slevin moves into the clinch. Slevin gets underhooks to prevent William's takedown attempt.
William keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Slevin's efforts to push away. Slevin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Slevin lands a right hook to the body.
William pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Slevin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. William might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Slevin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. William is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. William is trying to control the position but Slevin postures up. William pulls Slevin in to control the position. William not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alonzo William. Slevin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. William wants to sweep but Slevin has passed to side control! William tries to buck Slevin off but Slevin is having none of it. Slevin wants to control but William is keeping him busy. The strikes coming from Slevin are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Slevin tries for a kimura but William is defending well. William tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Slevin easily slips into full mount! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! William tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. William is squirming around, avoiding Slevin's attempts to control the action. Slevin avoids the attempt from William to control. Slevin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. William wants to control but Slevin is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slevin is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but William is surviving well by controlling Slevin's body position as best he can. William is trying to escape the mount.
Slevin thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slevin trying to control but William is having none of it. Slevin throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for William because Slevin loaded up on that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kallan Slevin dominated that round. That's time! William's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
William tries to clinch but Slevin moves out of range. Slevin looking to score a takedown here. William is defending well but Slevin drives through and ends up in William's guard. Slevin trying to control the position from guard on top but William is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as William holds on and takes a little breather. William looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slevin is one step ahead there. William could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kallan Slevin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Slevin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching William on his heels. He'll look to pass William's guard now, I'm sure. Slevin looking to pass the guard. William is looking for a triangle but Slevin pushes his legs off easily.
Slevin sitting in guard here, content to control. William working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Slevin. William is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. William throws his legs up looking for a submission but Slevin uses it to pass to side control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. William manages to work his way to half guard, despite Slevin's best efforts. Slevin content to control rather than advance. The fighters are battling for position here. William manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. William keeping moving, preventing Slevin from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kallan Slevin. William throws a head kick but Slevin moves out of range.
William fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Slevin avoids it really well and circles away. Slevin has managed to clinch.
Slevin tightens his grip and picks William up, before dumping him to the ground. William manages to land in guard. Slevin stays in close to William's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slevin wants to stand but William is controlling his posture from full guard. Slevin throwing strikes but missing. Kallan Slevin has got the better of the ground game so far. Slevin drops back looking for a leg! William is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and William manages to kick Slevin off! Slevin jumps back into William's guard. William trying to keep a closed guard but Slevin is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kallan Slevin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Slevin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in William's guard. Slevin tries to free his leg and advance position but William is retaining full guard. William controls Slevin momentarily but Slevin frees himself. Slevin won't allow William to sweep him here. William not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Slevin stands up from guard. Let's bang! William avoids a punch combination nicely.
Slevin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Slevin throws a head kick that misses.

Slevin scores with a shoulder strike. Slevin successfully pulls guard.
Slevin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Slevin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. William wants to control but Slevin is keeping busy and won't allow it. William is trying to stand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slevin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. William is trying to stand up here but Slevin is controlling him well. William avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Slevin. Slevin trying to pass the guard but William defending well. Slevin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but William does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Slevin wants to pass the guard but William is defending well. William trying to control here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alonzo William just wasn't active enough. Slevin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. William manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Slevin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. William is looking to stand up but Slevin isn't so interested in that idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Slevin sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Kallan Slevin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Slevin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
