Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bud Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hawk Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bud Diesel !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hawk Gunner!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diesel gets a double leg takedown into Gunner's guard.
Diesel has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Diesel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Diesel is looking to work some ground and pound but Gunner has wrist control.

Diesel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gunner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diesel has managed to get both his arms back between Gunner's legs - danger averted.
Gunner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Diesel shoots in looking for a takedown. Gunner tries to sprawl out of it but Diesel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gunner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jab, jab by Diesel - just one landing.
Diesel takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Gunner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Diesel doesn't seem bothered though.
A nice inside leg kick there by Diesel . That's going to slow Gunner down.
Diesel swings for the body but Gunner moves out of range.
Diesel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gunner tries to avoid it but Diesel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gunner to the ground. Gunner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gunner throws a shot to the body.
Gunner takes a swing at Diesel 's ribcage but misses.
Diesel lands a leg kick that knocks Gunner off balance momentarily.
Gunner misses with the combination.
Diesel showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Gunner.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bud Diesel . That's going to take a lot out of him.

That was a close round but I would say that Bud Diesel will probably get the nod.

Gunner throws a right hand that Diesel ducks under and follows up with a left that Diesel also avoids with ease.
Both fighters circling a little - Diesel finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Bud Diesel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diesel lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Bud Diesel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gunner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Diesel stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Diesel shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Diesel throws a head kick but Gunner moves out of range.
Diesel on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Diesel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gunner circles away.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Diesel is looking to control Gunner's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diesel avoid being mounted?

Hawk Gunner comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
