Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anakoni Kapena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Feruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Feruno has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Kapena as he connects with a hook.
It looks like Chad Feruno has been cut.
Feruno looks winded!
Feruno moves away from the strike by Kapena.
Feruno has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Feruno throws a jab when Kapena was well out of range.
Kapena connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Feruno ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Feruno steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kapena.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kapena drops Feruno with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Feruno looks back up at him and smiles so Kapena waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Feruno is rocked!
A looping hook to the body misses from Feruno. Kapena does a little dance to reset his feet.
Feruno is still on wobbly legs! Can Kapena finish him?
Kapena weaves into range and cracks Feruno right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Feruno goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Kapena is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Anakoni Kapena!
