Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hojo Yoijimbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Red comes to the cage accompanied by Where Is My Mind by The Pixies. Yoijimbo has chosen 2Pac, Freddie Foxxx, Ray Benzino - Don't Fuck With A Killa as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Red. Yoijimbo does a little dance to reset his feet.

We've been hearing reports that Red has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Red walks into a stiff left hand from Yoijimbo.
Red throws a lazy right hand but Yoijimbo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Yoijimbo fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Red checks it well.

Yoijimbo darts in and clinches Red up against the cage.
Red has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Yoijimbo after a bit of a struggle.

Red has Yoijimbo pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Red pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yoijimbo tumbling to the mat - Red dives into Yoijimbo's guard.

Yoijimbo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Red swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Red escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Yoijimbo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Red counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Yoijimbo's coach down at team razors mma fight club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Yoijimbo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Yoijimbo feints and then cracks Red's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Red down.
