And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Montana!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montana tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Montana misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Montana swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tony Montana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones wants to pass the guard but Montana is keeping the position.

Montana is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jones's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jones's back!

Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Montana is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Montana's back instead.

Jones is persistently looking for the submission but Montana is defending it well.

Montana wants to get back to his feet.

Jones is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Montana is defending well though. Jones let's go of the attempt for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Montana throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Montana wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jones takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Montana tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Montana buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Jones shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Montana looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Montana misses with a series of wild punches.
Montana throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Montana throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Montana ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jones moves away.

Montana gets caught flat footed, as Jones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Montana wants to sweep here but Jones controlling him for the moment.
Jones passes into half guard.

Jones is working for a kimura but Montana is defending it quite comfortably.

Montana has one foot on Jones's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Montana keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tony Montana is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Montana pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jones dodges the punch combination from Montana.
Montana tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Montana lands with a hook. Jones tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Montana throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it.
Montana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jones scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jones slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Jones has hold of Montana's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Montana seems comfortable defending it but Jones has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Montana is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Montana is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Jones couldn't care less - he's delighted!
