The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keane avoids a punch combination nicely.
Keane shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pennanen is trying to defend but Keane finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Keane is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Pennanen still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Pennanen has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Pennanen throws a strike aimed at the side of Keane's head but Keane avoids it well.
Keane is looking to regain half guard here but Pennanen keeps moving and retains side control.
