Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Craft (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammir Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks has chosen Delisia as his entrance music. Frankie Craft is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Frankie Craft!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sammir Brooks!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks throws a right and a left that Craft avoids nicely.

Brooks closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Craft did well to prevent Brooks getting side control.
Brooks tries to pass to full mount but Craft defends it.
Craft is trying to get back to full guard.
Craft regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Brooks.
Brooks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Craft works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brooks postures up in Craft's guard and throws a big left but Craft blocks it.
Brooks trying to control but Craft is working from the bottom.
Brooks won't allow Craft to sweep him here.
Brooks throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Craft manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brooks manages to get himself to full guard.
Brooks seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Frankie Craft wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Brooks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

It looks like Frankie Craft has been cut.
Brooks tries a low kick but Craft avoids it.

Craft is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brooks to keep the fight standing.

Craft jumps guard but Brooks stands there with Craft around his waist. Craft gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brooks is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Craft can't fight it off and eventually Brooks manages to take the fight to the floor. Craft looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Craft is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Craft takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Brooks is staying active underneath Craft, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Brooks avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Craft.

We're going to have a standup here because Frankie Craft wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Brooks throws a leg kick but Craft checks it.

Brooks throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Craft tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brooks is in Craft's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sammir Brooks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Craft throws a series of punches but Brooks avoids them all with ease.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brooks lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Craft backs up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brooks.
Brooks throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Craft throws a sloppy head kick and Brooks moves out of range easily.
A combination from Craft does no damage.

Brooks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Frankie Craft is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Craft has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brooks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sammir Brooks showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!



Brooks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Craft was covering up waiting for the punch and Brooks finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Craft working for a triangle but Brooks defends it easily.
Brooks's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Brooks decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Craft, up you get!

Craft tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brooks just stands there and leans against the cage.

Craft has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brooks uses from the top position.

Brooks walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Craft checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

and Brooks counters with a solid body kick.

Craft lands a shoulder strike.
Craft jumps guard but Brooks stands there with Craft around his waist. Craft gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brooks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Craft's head.
Still in half guard, Brooks seems content to control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brooks is looking to stall here but Craft recovers full guard.

Sammir Brooks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brooks has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
