Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Orlando Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Daniel Carvery!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Carvery shoots in but no luck this time.
Henry connects with a high kick.
Henry tries to clinch up.
Henry stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Henry wants it to stay on the feet.
Carvery shoots in for a takedown but Henry shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Orlando Henry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Carvery.
Carvery misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Carvery fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Henry avoids the head kick by Carvery.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carvery.
Henry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Henry is trying to drag Carvery to the mat but Carvery just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Carvery moves into range and clinches up with Henry.

Henry tries to keep at a distance but Carvery has taken the fight into the clinch.

Henry has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Carvery is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Carvery tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Henry smiles and moves away.

Carvery shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henry defends it nicely.

Carvery closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Henry misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Henry fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Carvery breaks the clinch.
Carvery swings for the body but Henry moves out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Henry counters with a shoot takedown. Carvery fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Henry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Henry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Henry wants to stand but Carvery is controlling his posture from full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daniel Carvery will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Henry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carvery, pushing him back against the cage.

Carvery pulls Henry into guard.
Henry wanted to stand there but Carvery had control of the position.
Carvery bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Henry's guard.
Carvery passes Henry's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Carvery is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Carvery passes to side control.

Carvery stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Carvery has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carvery drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Henry gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Henry has had enough of the clinch but Carvery keeps him there for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Henry is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Carvery to keep the fight standing.
Henry tries a knee to the head but Carvery blocks it.
Carvery tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Carvery pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Carvery shoots in for a double leg but Henry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Carvery closes the distance and pushes Henry back into the cage.
Carvery has Henry pressed against the cage, preventing Henry from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Henry manages to break the clinch.
Henry misses with a head kick.
Carvery gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Henry counters with a right hand to the body.

Carvery changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Henry tries to avoid it but Carvery manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Henry to the ground. Henry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Carvery is breathing heavily.
Henry keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Carvery throws a head kick that misses.
Daniel Carvery seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carvery fails to land the takedown.

Henry fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carvery to the ground. Henry is now in Carvery's guard.

Carvery is working an open guard so Henry takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Daniel Carvery is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Henry comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Henry uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carvery.

and Henry counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Henry stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Henry throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carvery blocks it with crossed arms.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Henry stands up and waves to Carvery to follow him.

Carvery has closed the distance and engaged Henry in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Orlando Henry dominated that second round.

Henry wants to get up but he can't break Carvery's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Henry escapes and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Carvery shoots for a double leg takedown but Henry sprawls well. He's pushed Carvery's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Henry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carvery avoids it really well and circles away.
Henry moves out of range of the body kick from Carvery.
Daniel Carvery seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Carvery instigates a clinch.
Henry doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Carvery is working for takedown but Henry is calmly controlling the position for now.
Henry using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Carvery has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
