Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sergio Gomes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jamal Witt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sergio Gomes!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Witt wants to clinch.
Gomes throws a sloppy head kick and Witt moves out of range easily.
Witt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gomes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Witt pinned against the cage. Witt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A left and a right from Gomes both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Jamal Witt has been cut.
Gomes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Witt counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Witt has a takedown stuffed.
Gomes tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Witt is able to avoid easily.
Gomes shoots in for a takedown but Witt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jamal Witt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergio Gomes.
That's one minute gone in the round.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gomes.
Gomes tries to keep at a distance but Witt has taken the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Gomes's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Witt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gomes forces Witt back against the cage and clinches.
Gomes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Witt tries to pull guard but Gomes holds him up against the cage and eventually Witt drops back down to his feet.
Witt tries to throw a body punch but Gomes avoids it by throwing Witt back against the cage.
Witt throws a knee to the head but misses.
Witt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gomes moves into the clinch successfully.
Witt missing with knees to the body.
Witt avoids the elbow strike from Gomes, against the cage.
Witt can't find room to land a body shot as Gomes controls the action.
Witt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gomes walks away with a smile on his face. Witt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gomes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Witt tries for a takedown but Gomes sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gomes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Witt to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gomes is trying to control the position but Witt postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gomes has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Witt is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Gomes is trying to break the clinch but Witt has him pressed against the cage.
Nice body punch from Gomes - that landed with a thud.
Witt breaks from the clinch.
Gomes looks to land a body kick but Witt moved away.
Witt shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Gomes is trying to control but can't.
Witt is looking for a kimura here.
Gomes manages to get to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Witt is working Gomes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Witt with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Witt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gomes wants to hit a switch here but Witt passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gomes there!
Gomes tries to hold on but Witt postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jamal Witt will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jamal Witt's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Witt wants to clinch up but Gomes keeps it at a distance.
Gomes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Witt tries to avoid it but Gomes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Witt to the ground. Witt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gomes rushes Witt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Gomes can't break the clinch.
Gomes is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Witt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gomes.
Jamal Witt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergio Gomes.
Witt is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gomes is defending well for now.
Witt stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Gomes is looking to take this one to the mat.
Gomes is breathing heavily.
Gomes fails to pull guard.
Witt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gomes throws the kick towards the body but Witt avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Witt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Witt closes the distance and clinches.
Witt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gomes doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Witt counters with a head kick. That will keep Gomes thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Witt moves in looking to clinch but Gomes pushes him off.
Witt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Witt tries to clinch up but Gomes circles away and keeps his distance.
Witt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Witt has an Americana. Gomes didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Witt is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Witt hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jamal Witt!
