Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Backer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pickett looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Pickett being controlled for a moment.
Pickett is trying to control Backer's posture but Backer avoids it.
Backer stands up and beckons Pickett to his feet.
Backer throws a body kick, spinning off balance
letting Pickett counter with a right hand.
Pickett connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Backer shoots in and drives through. Pickett sprawls well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Backer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Backer throws a knee to the head but misses.
Backer blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Backer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Backer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pickett blocking the ground and pound attempt from Backer.
Backer stands up out of the half guard.
Pickett closes this distance looking for a takedown but Backer circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Backer gets a double leg takedown into Pickett's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pickett can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Backer controls the pace.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Backer drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pickett looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pickett looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pickett!
Backer throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Backer defending against the ground and pound.

Backer is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Pickett throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Backer is looking to control Pickett's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Backer avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Backer manages to get to full guard.
Backer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Backer scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Pickett fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pickett chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Backer can pounce on him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Backer tries to clinch up
and Pickett counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pickett.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Backer gets a trip takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zach Backer dominated that round.

Backer fails with the takedown.
Backer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pickett paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Backer throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Pickett colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Backer as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Pickett is left battered and dazed whilst Backer and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zach Backer!
