Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steven Flecher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Dantas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Flecher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Dantas! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flecher darts in looking for a takedown but Dantas gets double underhooks and turns Flecher into the cage. Dantas is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Flecher pulls him back up using the underhooks. Dantas goes for a takedown in the clinch but Flecher prevents it.
Dantas has picked Flecher up - he's going for a ride! Dantas dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Dantas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Flecher has managed to free his arm - good work. Flecher wants to control but Dantas is keeping busy and won't allow it. Flecher is trying to stand up here but Dantas is controlling him well. Dantas keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Dantas's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Flecher is not content to let Dantas control the position. Dantas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Flecher is just riding it out for now. Dantas eventually gives up the hold. Dantas wants to pass to mount but Flecher is defending the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jose Dantas was stalling too much, according to the referee. Dantas manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Flecher on his heels. He'll look to pass Flecher's guard now, I'm sure. Dantas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dantas wants to pass the guard but Flecher is keeping the position. Flecher trying to keep a closed guard but Dantas is proving a slippery customer.
Dantas pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flecher is keeping the position for now. Flecher will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Flecher fails with the takedown. Flecher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dantas tries to avoid it but Flecher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dantas to the ground. Dantas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steven Flecher. That's going to take a lot out of him. Flecher gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dantas wants to get back to striking at distance but Flecher won't allow it.

Flecher avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dantas scores with a takedown into Flecher's guard. Dantas looks winded! Dantas prevents Flecher from getting back to his feet. Flecher keeping moving, preventing Dantas from controlling successfully. Dantas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dantas looking to pass the guard. Dantas wants to control from the top but Flecher keeps moving. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Flecher shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dantas changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flecher looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This has been an exciting period of action! Dantas is looking to take a break and control but Flecher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dantas goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Flecher has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dantas but great work by Flecher. Dantas is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Dantas trying his best to control but Flecher has mounted him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dantas slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Dantas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Flecher's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Flecher's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Flecher rolls, trying to escape but Dantas keeps control of the position.
Dantas working for a choke but Flecher is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Dantas dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Flecher misses with a takedown attempt - Dantas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Flecher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dantas as he avoids it easily. Dantas misses with a head kick.
Dantas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dantas misses with a takedown attempt and Flecher counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Dantas! Flecher in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Flecher tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Dantas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dantas is breathing heavily.

Flecher working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Flecher decides to stand back up. Flecher steps back and let's Dantas get back to his feet. Flecher moves in looking to clinch but Dantas pushes him off. Dantas is trying hard to land a takedown here. Flecher sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Steven Flecher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Dantas.

Flecher fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Flecher is defended easily by Dantas. Flecher looks for a takedown but Dantas sprawls well. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dantas not doing a lot at the moment. OK we're going to have a standup here. Jose Dantas hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Flecher takes a swing at Dantas's ribcage but misses. Dantas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Flecher but Flecher pushes him off and we're back to square one. Flecher looks for the body kick but Dantas saw that one coming. Flecher shoots in looking for a takedown but Dantas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Flecher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A momentary lapse in concentration from Flecher enables Dantas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flecher manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Dantas trying to control the position from guard on top but Flecher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dantas looking to pass the guard. Dantas looking to sit in guard and control but Flecher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Dantas. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Dantas is trying to control the position but Flecher postures up. Flecher working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dantas is trying to control the position from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Flecher is looking to work some ground and pound but Dantas has wrist control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Flecher preventing the sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Jose Dantas will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

No luck for Dantas with that takedown attempt. Flecher fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Dantas. Flecher dives in for a single leg takedown but Dantas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Dantas goes for a takedown attempt but Flecher pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

He'll be looking to tighten that up but Flecher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dantas not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Flecher pushes Dantas against the cage but Dantas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Flecher has a takedown stuffed. Flecher is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dantas's half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Dantas wants to improve his position but Flecher is controlling well.

Dantas shoots for a takedown but Flecher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Flecher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice takedown defense from Flecher. No joy for Dantas on that attempt.

Steven Flecher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jose Dantas is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
