Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rent a Wreck. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jack Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Alves!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Alves moves away.
Clark misses with a shot to the body
and Alves counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Alves goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Alves fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Clark swings for the body but Alves moves out of range.

Clark throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Clark works over Alves's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Hector Alves has been cut.
Clark lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Clark bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Alves seems to have recovered his senses.

A jab from Clark finds it's way through Alves's defenses.
Clark fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alves manages to avoid it.
Clark looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alves throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Clark counters with a stiff right hand.
Alves avoids a punch combination nicely.
Alves lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Alves.
Clark throws a lazy right hand but Alves sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Clark closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Alves lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Alves throws a series of punches but Clark avoids them all with ease.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alves swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Clark is looking to wear down Alves with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Clark lands with a good body shot.
Clark throws a right hand that misses
and Alves counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Clark throws a right hand that Alves ducks under and follows up with a left that Alves also avoids with ease.
Jack Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Clark takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Alves lands with a nice body punch.
Alves looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Clark will probably get the nod.

Clark tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alves was well out of range. Poor timing from Clark.

Alves throws a right and a left that Clark avoids nicely.
Alves moves out of range as Clark strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Clark.

Alves tries a low kick but Clark avoids it.
Clark lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Clark misses with an uppercut.
Alves uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clark.
Alves walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Clark throws a big shot that misses.
Alves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Clark circles away quickly and effectively.
Alves avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clark misses with a hook. Alves ducked under it nicely.
A nice leg kick lands there from Alves.
Alves lands a nice looking body shot.
Clark cracks Alves with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Alves tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Clark pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Alves is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Clark!
