The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Martell as Hardy shoots in.
A jab-cross combination lands for Martell and sends Hardy crashing to the mat! Martell follows him down to the mat - Hardy regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
It looks like Herschel Hardy has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hardy trying to hold on to Martell's head to control him but Martell postures up.
Martell decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Martell clobbers Hardy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hardy is rocked!
Martell flashes Hardy a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Hardy's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Hardy crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Martell punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Oberynn Martell!
