Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Banemkalastizer Qwaiurmasta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aaron Pyne! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Qwaiurmasta tries for a takedown but Pyne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Pyne drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Pyne trying to control but Qwaiurmasta is working from the bottom. Pyne wanted to stand there but Qwaiurmasta had control of the position. Pyne content to stall in guard here. Pyne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Qwaiurmasta swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Qwaiurmasta wants to hit a switch here but Pyne passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Qwaiurmasta there! Pyne misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's one minute gone in the round. Qwaiurmasta tries to hold on but Pyne pushes him away. Qwaiurmasta could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Pyne trying to control but Qwaiurmasta is having none of it. Qwaiurmasta really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Pyne is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Qwaiurmasta to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Qwaiurmasta shrugs it off. Qwaiurmasta reaches up to try and control the position but Pyne seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Qwaiurmasta rolls and tries to escape and now Pyne has his back!
Pyne is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Qwaiurmasta with him. Qwaiurmasta is trying to defend but Pyne has an arm under the chin now! Qwaiurmasta grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Aaron Pyne!
