Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richie Parrish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Deary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Gary Deary enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Richie Parrish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gary Deary!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parrish on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


It looks like Richie Parrish has been cut.
Parrish swats away the attempt to clinch by Deary.

Deary closes the distance and clinches.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Deary.

Deary is trying to trip Parrish. He has hold of a leg but Parrish is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Deary persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Deary in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Parrish will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Deary loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Deary rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Parrish moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Parrish shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Deary as he avoids it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Parrish gets caught napping as Deary dives in and scores a takedown. Parrish manages to retain guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Deary accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Parrish manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Deary manages to get himself to full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gary Deary hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Deary fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parrish, pushing him back against the cage.

Deary turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Deary manages to end up in side control.
You can see the frustration on Parrish's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Deary is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Gary Deary comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Deary has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
