Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nezu Nambara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Okabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nambara comes into the arena with This Is Goodbye - Blue Foundation blaring out of the sound system. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Nambara cracks Okabe with an open hand slap.
Nambara ducks under a wild hook from Okabe.
Okabe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nambara.
Nambara throws a right and a left that both miss.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Okabe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Okabe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BOOM! Okabe connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Nambara is squirming around, avoiding Okabe's attempts to control the action.
Nambara is in a horrible position here. Okabe smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Okabe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nambara looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Okabe is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Nambara can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Nambara's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Nezu Nambara is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Okabe lands a couple of good shots and Nambara has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Nambara is trying to get back to his feet but Okabe has full control of the position and if anything, Nambara has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Nambara grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Okabe is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Nambara has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Okabe has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Nambara taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Okabe doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kenji Okabe!
A relieved looking Kenji Okabe thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
